WhisperKOOL Platinum Split Twin Ductless Wine Cellar Cooling System
The WhisperKOOL Platinum Split Twin Ductless Cooling System is a high-capacity wine cellar cooling solution designed for large residential wine cellars and glass wine walls up to approximately 3,000 cubic feet.
This split system separates the evaporator and condenser, allowing the condenser to be installed remotely up to 100 feet away from the cellar. This configuration dramatically reduces noise inside the wine room while providing flexible installation options for luxury wine storage environments.
The Platinum Split Twin is ideal for modern wine cellars, glass wine displays, and residential wine rooms where quiet operation and clean aesthetics are essential.
Because installation requires refrigerant line connections and system charging, the unit must be installed by a licensed HVAC-R technician.
Because the condenser is installed away from the cellar, this system keeps the wine room quiet and visually clean.
When This Cooling System May NOT Be Ideal
This system may not be the best option if:
Your wine cellar is under 500 cubic feet
You need a completely hidden cooling system
You plan a DIY installation
Your space cannot accommodate refrigerant line routing
Smaller wine rooms may be better served by compact through-the-wall cooling systems.
How a Ductless Split Wine Cellar Cooling System Works
A split cooling system separates the refrigeration components into two units.
Evaporator Unit
The evaporator is installed inside or near the wine cellar. It circulates cool air and monitors the temperature using a liquid temperature bottle probe, which measures the temperature of the wine rather than just the ambient air.
Condensing Unit
The condenser is installed remotely — often outdoors, in an attic, or in a mechanical room. It removes heat from the refrigeration cycle and allows the wine cellar to remain quiet and thermally stable.
Because the condenser is located outside the cellar, split systems are significantly quieter than self-contained cooling units.
Cooling Performance
Performance ratings are approximated in a wine cellar that is fully insulated and sealed with a proper vapor barrier. Each cellar design has unique cooling requirements, so a heat load calculation should always be performed before selecting a cooling system.

Manuals for WhisperKOOL Platinum Split Twin Ductless:
Condensing unit may be installed up to 100 ft away
Refrigerant lines must be properly charged and insulated
Proper cellar insulation and vapor barrier required
The system is designed to maintain 55°F cellar temperature with condenser air intake temperatures up to 120°F.
Optional Upgrades
24V Thermostat Conversion Kit
This optional upgrade allows the cooling system to connect to third-party smart thermostats.
With a compatible smart thermostat you can:
Monitor cellar temperature remotely
Receive alerts and notifications
Track system runtime
Adjust temperature from mobile devices
Note: WhisperKOOL does not supply smart thermostats.
UV-C Light Technology
UV-C light can be added to improve system performance by reducing mold and bacterial growth inside the cooling unit. This helps maintain system efficiency and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
Exterior Condenser Housing
For outdoor condenser installations, a protective housing shields the equipment from weather exposure.
Wine cellar cooling systems rely heavily on proper cellar construction. Poor insulation, missing vapor barriers, or glass walls without thermal design can significantly increase cooling demand. Always perform a heat load calculation before selecting a system.
I'm a huge fan of WhisperKool and been looking at the split type for a while now. Glad that I bought this one from your shop. Your website is very easy to use and support is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

Very quiet
It is very quiet which is great when I am admiring my collection. Also, I can't feel any vibrations unlike the previous one I used.
