How the Two Lineups Differ
Breezaire
Breezaire builds three lines. The WKL is a self-contained through-the-wall unit, sized by Breezaire from the WKL 1060 (about 140 cubic feet) to the WKL 8000 (about 2,000). The WKCE is designed for cabinets and credenzas, with the cold air discharge on the bottom. The WKSL is a split system shipped as two components that a qualified refrigeration installer connects, tests and charges.

WhisperKOOL
WhisperKOOL covers more ground. The SC PRO is a through-the-wall unit rated from about 300 to 2,000 cubic feet, best installed where the intake stays at or below 85°F. The Extreme handles hotter exhaust spaces, up to 110°F intake, and can be fully ducted up to 25 feet from the cellar. The split families (Platinum Split, Ceiling Mount, Quantum and Blow-Through) move the condensing unit out of the cellar.

Controls, Humidity and Installation
- Breezaire Sentry III. Set by holding SET and pressing WARMER or COOLER. It displays codes such as E1, AL and OH when something needs attention, and it shuts the unit down to protect the wine if the condenser is blocked.
- WhisperKOOL controllers. The SC series controller supports a bottle probe and shows alarm codes such as E1 for a probe problem and COH for a hot condenser coil. Split systems use a separate controller with its own code list.
- Humidity. Breezaire says the WKL reduces excess humidity to the 50% to 75% range and does not add moisture.
- Installation. Breezaire WKL and WhisperKOOL SC PRO mount through a wall. Breezaire recommends a licensed refrigeration technician for the WKSL split, and WhisperKOOL requires a qualified licensed HVAC/R technician for its splits or the warranty is void.
